These photos were made at the confluence of two rivers – the Danube and the Morava.
The castle which you see was one of the largest castles in Europe in the 8th century as it was also early medieval town and fortress. The memorial Gate of Liberty was built recently as memorial of thousands of emigrees who tried but never did or who successfully trespassed this river for what they think is a free world.
The last pictures are no worth to comment but nice to see – blurred.

Very good blog Kat although the memoriam and what it stands for is very sad, I do like the photo`s of the dog and cat, both it seems are caged, lol, great photo`s Kat , thankyou for sharing the historical facts as well...
