Merry Christmas

This is my first entry. At present it is winter and nothing grows outside in so much snow. Have had weather as low as -17 with a common temperature of -5 here in Michigan. I haven’t had a garden for many years, but am planning one this year, so I can use any help you have. We moved back into the woods so animals like raccoons and deer are going tpo be a problem as well as the fact that we can’t put up fences as the property is rented. Plan a potted garden this year with a extended garden on my own property next year.

Winter time a time of slowing down and creating plans for the coming months. A great time to start crafts that are bulky and hold in heat like making afgans and quilts. But it is also a time to reminisce and plan your future year.

Welcome from me too Karlyn. You have an exciting time ahead of you with your new plans. Having a whole year to think about it is a blessing in disguise - rushing into things is often a mistake! Good luck with your pots for now, and keep warm! Its a lovely sunny day here and not too cold considering its December. The first early spring bulbs are just beginning to show, but we might have snow yet.
