Spring has Sprung

March 2009.

Garden is planted, watered and fertilised. just waiting for a few additions. time to sit back, relax and watch my garden grow!

In this picture, you can see my cherry laurel hedge. the plants are very young, about 3’ tall and there are 8 of them in an 8’ row. i’m going to plant coleus canina behind them to prevent the cats from using my garden as a toilet! i’m not sure what the shrub is at the far end, maybe Griselinia littoralis.

In this picture, from left to right, i’ve planted lupin, geranium, ceanothus, muscari ‘big blue’, violet, agapanthus (barely visable).

In this picture from left to right, i’ve planted lamb’s ears, festuca glaucus elijah blue, clematis jackmanii superba, red baron, festuca glauca blue fescue, lamb’s ears and some unknown twiggy grass plant.

In this picture i’ve rescued 2 euphorbia spurge, planted violets for groundcover. the empty pots will eventually contain herbs (they are currently propogating).

In this picture there is a cordyline in the large pot, muscari ‘big blue’ in the medium pot and 3 dutch lavender in the rectangular pot.

In this picture there is a cordyline in the large pot (with a little ivy to grow down the pot) and a french lavender in the medium pot.

Hi, welcome to GoY.
You've been hard at work. Will you show more photos as the year progresses? It will be interesting to see how your garden developes.
