update on avocado seed..

hi all, just a quick update for anyone who may be interested to see how i am doing with an avocado stone i was trying to root from Feb 3rd..
this is how it was by the 3rd March..almost split from top to bottom but has a root formed in the centre at the bottom..

The “white thing bottom middle is not another cocktail stick lol , but the root”

the root measures 2 inches (in old money) and is quite hard too.

10th March root almost 3 inches & other tiny roots showing..

you can see how it is splitting in the middle here..you can see right through it.

a 50- 50 mix of compost & coir..

planted so seed just rests on top..

gravel so the seed doesn’t sit on the soil..

it looks ok up to now,i will have to see how it goes on in the next few weeks..
