Best laid plans and all that

I had such plans for the garden. What plants I was going to grow from seed for next year, what plants needed moving and so on. That all changed about 4pm Tuesday afternoon. We had a phone call from one of our customers called Kevin. He owns and runs a local dog rescue centre. Kevin phoned me to tell me that last week he had been handed in a 17 week old German shepherd puppy. Said the original owners didn’t want him anymore due to health reasons. Kevin wanted to know if we would take him. Said I had to talk to hubby. Took all of 10 mins lol. Within half an hour, we had our coats on and were in the car driving to the rescue centre.

So I would like to introduce you to Havoc. Yes, I’ve renamed him to that. Think having 3 again will be Havoc

what a cutie, has he settled in well? Not surprised you couldn't resist him.
Havoc is a great name for him. My daughter has a dog called Rune but she could have been called Ruin!

Seaburngirl, we have only had him 2 days but settling in really well. Other 2 been very good but not sure yet lol. Havoc on the other hand has no respect for flower beds lol. Running all over them. He was called Lenox but didn't know his name yet.

Love the name Rune

Thank you Callie, today has been havoc, he is coming out of himself and getting into everything and pulling things down that we had put up on table thinking they were safe from him there lol. So doing all the things a normal puppy does lol.

oh no I agree, he doesn't look like a Lennox. Havoc is much better. He'll soon learn to stay off the flowers. Rune did.
My daughter loves odd names her cats are Dagon, Intergra and Baal! Good job she hasn't children as I dread to think what they'd be called!'

Jen, what a stunner he looks! Our daughter and her partner have a fourteen week old Springer Spaniel ... they have named him Tiberius! Imagine calling that name out when he eventually goes off lead!

Awww, you’ve a big heart, Jen! Havoc is a lucky pup! It’s true, he looks like he’s settled in well already! He’s living up to his new name too - but, I guess he’s still a little puppy, bless! Best of luck! I mean that with sincerity too. Xx

Thank you everyone. Sorry it has been Havoc lol. Being older I've needed eyes in the back of my head as he is in full teething mode. Found 4 baby teeth so far on carpet. Tried chewing my furniture and my other 2 dogs lol. He seems to be settling in well and other 2 been so good with him. Slept till 5.20am this morning so most sleep I've had since getting him. 😁

He's a beautiful animal - looks very intelligent too. I guess he will prove good at digging....

Jen he is gorgeous, lucky lad, his name suits him but hope he doesn't create too much by living up to that, fun and games for a while for you although he looks well settled, all of them are very handsome ....

That is one cute Alsatian pup, I’m not surprised that you couldn’t resist him. It must be quite a house full with three, good luck with the garden! I think you’d better forget about seed sowing outside for this autumn :-)

Thank you everyone. It has been mad. We took him to vet on Monday, just for a check. He is slightly underweight and doesn't have as much muscle in his back legs as should. His nails were super long. Vet thinks he has been kept in a crate mostly and now just needs good food and exercise. He is full of it. Think your right Feverfew, garden will just have to wait :)

Oh..he is so cute Jen! No wonder you had to bring him home and hope he doesn't wreak "havoc" on your beautiful garden!
I hope you are getting on ok now!
