Sweet peas.

Having taken extensive advice so that everything would be perfect, i loveingly planted my sweet pea seeds and waited. Then they appeared my puny babies, kept in a cool light spot, but sheltered from any harm, they remained weedy and pathetic. I pinched them out and spoke nicely to them, they failed to thrive. I saw others in the GC happy healthy (big). At this point dispairing i banished them to an outside bed, were they sat and sulked. Hello ! suddenly they have leaped into life . They are now sturdy souls joyfully reaching out for the trellis and showing promise of things to come if ONLY the sun would shine on them

Mine often spend a long time sulking before setting off up the canes. Here's to a lovely display later!

I always find Sweet peas slow. They do tend to do better after being pinched out. I'm pleased yours are doing well now :o)

my sweet peas are outside too.Visited mine this morning and.... the sun was shining They have stopped sulking and have actually perked up quite a bit. I hate pinching them out it seems so cruel but we have to do it. Good luck everyone with your sweet peas:)
