Cosy indoors today ...

Yes, September is probably my favourite month of the year.

Today as I type this, the kitchen smells gorgeous, up and cooking early this morning, lovely lamb hot pot with a dash of red wine and a drizzle of Rosemary oil on the sliced potatoes. (That’s my version of the recipe).

It’s raining outside and I have just returned from walking Beth (good timing). Earlier I was mixing and bagging up my new crop of teas. The lavender, limeflower and lemon balm is to be called “Taira Tea” and the newest one, hibiscus flowers, strawberry leaf and mint is to be called “Hana Tea”. Thanks to Steve W for the names. Apparently taira is “calm” and “hana” is flower or petal (hope I have remembered that right).

At the weekend I cooked apple crumble and went blackberrying. The blackberries I used for a sort of Eton Mess, but with blackberries instead of strawberries. The rest of the blackberries are in the freezer.

So all in all a cosy time ahead. Fruits (and flowers) of labour stocked, packed or frozen with still to come raddishes, spring onions and broccoli in “the patch”.

Hugs to all :)

Crafty Emma -dinner was at different times today, with all being busy. So handy to have a pot to dip in as folk went about their business.

Yes Milky a really rotton day, it must be my fault I think I was only saying yesterday, that we don't get as much rain as we used to when I was little. (OOoops!)

Bobq - I love Eton mess with strawberries and it's so simple. Blackberries were nice but you can't beat the strawberries ! :)

Yes, Hywel, loads of rain. We always have a lot of local flooding here too because of the trees. The drains get clogged up.

I don't want to rub it in but we've been having lovely weather in Carmarthenshire. I hope you don't have too many floods.
