It's got to stop raining long enough for us to get out and do any of these things! We did uplift our birch tree yesterday.

Yes I agree - there is quite a bit of trimming back to do in our garden at the moment all the shrubs are growing in leaps and bounds - but no flowers on my Heliotrope plants as of yet - thankyou for your comment Ange2

I keep popping out in between the showers Jane, I have cloud pruned some of my shrubs, but they are growing so fast in the rain and I have done some dead heading. We just need some sun.

As everyone has said, it's the dreadful periods of short sharp showers! The rain has been sheeting down.
I am at work a lot and it's hard to get out to do things when it's dry.
However, OH and I have endeavoured to do do in recent weeks on a weekend, when we can catch a dry spell...
It's the weeds! Crikey, they are prolific on our drive and front/side paths!!!!

Hello Callie 1914 thankyou for your comment I have just googled Cloud Pruning I wasn't sure that is interesting and well worth the effort I would think Jane

Hello Kate 123 - thanks for your comment - the weeds are a nightmare - popping up between the crazy paving and anywhere else where they can push through - Jane

I can only do the third from the top & the third from the bottom! 😆

The description at the top of the board I don't think applies to the UK - at least not this year! 😆

Thanks for your comment Balcony - yes we must start on pelargonium cuttings - I have replaced quite a few that I lost in the frosts last winter with new stock - Jane

It’s my local stomping ground, love it there! Was there last during June heatwave and their kitchen gardens looked great.

Thanks for your comment Amsterdam - yes I think the kitchen gardens at Attingham are the best ever this year

I started going 16 years ago when the walled gardens where just derelict. They’ve done so much work there. They started with the pigs to dig up ground & fertilise. Over the years with a help of a large no of volunteers they have transformed it. Well worth a visit.

Yes Amsterdam it is interesting to see how productive the plants have been and how colourful the garden is looking and yes we have seen it also in all its stages of restoration through the past years - thankyou for your comment
