A Poem By Summer My German Shepherd!!

Beautiful German Shepherd Jacque How old is it? Our Daughter has a White one ,it will be 1 year old on Boxing Day.They are wonderful Companions

Thanx Woodennut welcome 2 GOY :) My Summer is almost 10/11 now & was 1yr old when i adopted her from the RSPCA :) She is always with me in garden & seems 2 enjoy it as much as myself :)

What a wonderful (and clever!) snowy Alsatian. Isn't she just gorgeous!
We had a jet black one at one point and she lived until she was 14....but was profoundly deaf for a few years. She too was a BIG girl and people were scared of her - which we found highly amusing - she was the softest dog ever and adored kids and other dogs...but because she looked the part - she made a great guard dog...LOL

Hasn't she got a pretty face? She certainly looks to be enjoying life.

Thanx Alzh/Tulsa :) When i 1st Adopted Summer she weighed just 19 KGs as she had Tummy probs like most German Shepherds & it took a good 2yrs to get her weight up :/ Shes now 30Kgs which is Perfect 4 her but sadly she is Terminaly ill with Smoke Damaged Lungs which u wouldnt notice would u ? The Vet z she`d be lucky 2 see the age of 6/7 !!! Myself & Family love her to bits & try 2 give her the life any Dog/Animal lover would :)

What a beautiful dog and isnt she clever writing a poem .You wouldnt think she was poorly she looks as though she hasnt a care in the world.

Thanx Mavis :) Poor Summer has a Permanent cough & when damp/wet weather arrives she has risks of getting Lung Infections:( Since iv had her shes suffered with 7 of them & each time i knew by the way her Cough Sound had changed ! I dont walk her when weathers like that & i keep her indoors more :)

Its good you know what to listen for and get it sorted quickly for her.

Absolutely brill Jacque, Summer looks so well give her a hug for me and a pat.

How wonderful for Summer that she has you Jacque - who knows every sign and symptom and more importantly - how to respond. We give our hearts to our animals - but they give so much more back don't they.
Your TLC obviously works too - she looks A1....and to think those vets said she wouldn't live beyond 6/7 Well done indeed!
