My new trellises are being covered rather quickly …

Clematis Betty Corning :-

Betty with Rose ‘Gentle Hermione’ :-

Clematis ‘Justa’ :-

Clematis Madam Julia Corrivon :-

My Cotinus likes being next to the trellis. It has made lots of new growth recently,
and I have started to train a branch of Rose American Pillar along the top, hoping to have some nice flowers on it next year :-

Two little Echeverias in a hanging terracotta pot, and one of them is flowering :) :-

The trellises extend on to the patio and I have things in pots and tubs that I want to climb on them.
At the moment I’ve put a Plumbago and Jasmine there but they will have to be moved in the winter, and there are no flowers on them yet …

The picket fence was given to me by a neighbour who was going to throw it away. I’ve got somewhere else to put it but it’s there for now :)

A Verbascum enjoying some shelter from the trellis :-

A hardy Fuchsia poking through :-

A Clematis growing through to the back of a trellis :-

View of trellises from the bottom of the garden ….

The trellises are not very colourful at the moment but I’m hoping to get some more Clematises to grow there for next year.

I really like the trellises and the lovely plants that are climbing up them.
You have the prettiest garden Hywel, lots of pinks and mauves.

Hasn't it matured quickly! Betty is gorgeous - so dainty, and lovely with Hermione too. I didn't realise you'd added so much trellis - a jolly good investment and won't it look even more fabulous when all those clems have grown!

Thank you all for your comments.

I hope the trellises will be a good replacement for your trees Seaburngirl.

I get so envious when I see how quickly plants , shrubs and flowers take on in your garden, you must have some really good earth there Hywel, I know we have had a lack of rain but still very disappointed in my clematis, they are growing but I have only had the vast amount of four flowers on mine, yours are wonderful and they are romping away against the trellis..

Lovely! I do like Betty particularly. This has given me inspiration for my new trellises which have just been finished. Can't wait to plant them up now that the weather has cooled down.

My goodness that has come on since last I saw it. I love your choices of clematis especially Betty Corning. I've not come across that before...very pretty.

Thank you. The Clems are many years old and I think they are grateful to have something to climb on at last lol :)
