Isn't it amazing how quickly the seasons change Holly. My garden is frozen solid today! It seems a little early to start feeling wistful for the summer that has passed (well, truth to be told there was no summer in Angus this year, apart from one week in August). But it was lovely to see all your pretty flowers, thanks! :)

Wasnt a good summer really here either with all the rain we move dto this house in April and it rained nearly everyday since.... Hope you get a better summer next year...

Those Gladioli are spectacular, Holly! Do you know their name by any chance? You have a nice selection of plants there. Shame the "summer", such as it was, passed by so quickly! Still if we take photos we will always have the memories of them to conserve for other years. That's why I take so many photos my plants! We forget so easily what they used to look like, by taking our own photos & nowadays with digital cameras you can snap away to your hearts content & if any don't come out as you would have liked you can erase them without losing a single penny!

I still have 100s of paper(!) photos that span many years of my life - some have even been digitalized & have be given a new lease of life! :-))

I now snap away more than ever before as the mobile phones now carry cameras & as you never leave home without it in your pocket you can snap anything that catches your eye when you're out in the garden or down on the allotment or even on a walk in the countryside or beach!

Lovely photos Holly .. I love the brick wall with the trellis on top ... is it a warm South facing one? ... :o)

I bought some Gladioli there as well some years ago. My friend Gerry has many planted in front of his shed on the allotment. He grows them for cut flowers he can take home & possibly for decorating the church. He does flower arranging at our church.
