Rainy Sunday.

Very impressed with your verse Holly, it matches for my area exactly, pleased to say we are also having rain, my first job this morning was to transfer last nights bathwater out to the garden, achey shoulders, if only my bathroom was at the back I could rig up a pipe but I think it was worth it, within halfhour it started raining and still is nice and steady.
Lovely photo`s, its nice to see some flowers with rain droplets, I like your planting in the wheelbarrow, I`ve put Geraniums in mine this year but only one flowering so far....
As you can tell, I`m armchair gardening as well.lol....

Best thing to do in this weather lincslass.. : O ) well done on taking out your bath water....dont think i could carry mine downstairs..... glad you like the pics... my neighbour gave me the wheelbarrow last summer as she didnt want it... so its my first year of planting... may change it next year..... hope your Geraniums flower soon...

Thanks cinderella... yes the garden certainly needs it... and no watering to be done at last.... i was having to do it every night for weeks and weeks...lol

what a difference a day can make.. I was hoping to cut the grass, weed the drive.. oh well... instead I'm relaxing and contemplating cooking a roast and watching motorsport..equally fun.. Oh I did make chilli jam today.:)

first time we have had heating on in june Holly, its crazy, but its so cold,

isnt it.... think we had our summer in April... will put mine on for an hour i think to warm the house up....

Cold and raining here, but this morning was lovely (see latest blog) got a lot done before the very welcome rain set in, now like everyone else i'm armchair gardening :o) and Madaboutgardening can i have the recipe for chilli jam?

Wish i could send all of you who wonts rain some, as i'm really cheesed of with it since end of April its rained every day and its been really cold, infact this last 6wks as been like october- November weather.

i am in now tooo bin doing wedding hair all day urgggg , oh cooked and it was eddidable this time lol ............ not stoped raining here all day , in fact all week ........... so it needs to go now as my well is full ..................

A round of applause for your little ditty, Clever You! a lovely set of flower pictures, is that rose next to your wheelbarrow Peace? it looks very similar to mine in the yellow phase. I have to admire the Campanula with the raindrops too! Very busy day have had my son and his carers over for lunch, but its been heavy shoewrs all day so couldnt get into the garden anyway, so past the afternoon entertaining instead;0)

6-10pm and its still raining here, in fact its really heavy now, the sky is very grey with cloud so not going to stop for a while. You have to laugh really because after carting all that bathwater down this morning I`m now carting water from one butt to another I`m determined to collect as much as is possible, thank goodness I kept my old dustbins, also gained 2 from the family, I knew I`d find a use for them, I`m getting a bit wet but heighho its all good clean fun...

It has been raining all day here in Newcastle, but that is to be expected as it is Hopping's week. The town moor will be like a quagmire once again but that is part of the fun of the fair!

It rained here for a few hours but it was light rain. We haven't had so much rain since the last Bank Holiday in May! The weather forecasters had been saying we would get a "useful" amount of rain today. I doubt we will have had enough to wet more than an inch of soil. Nevertheless we have had several showers in the last few weeks & that has made the grass green up again though of no use to us gardeners or the farmers! We are now officially in drought conditions!

@Lincslass: You seem to have made a mistake with the time or your clock is an hour fast - here it's just after 9pm!

hi, impressed with the recycling lincslass. It has rained here for weeks, is cold and have had massive hailstones and lots of wind off the north sea. Needless to say the heating has been on and off for 6 weeks. Have been baking cakes instead, two today, trouble is I keep eating them all as well, no wonder cant fit into my clothes. Will get my son Alexander to put some more pics on site, am new to goy and the laptop so if i do it cant guarantee they will end up in the right place Thanks for your messages. back in a min got to
put cream in 2nd cake. wish this mouse thing would behave.
