they are amazing-- a poplar hawk moth sent me rushing for ' google'! I said to someone the other day nature could do very well without us --- but we couldn't do without them---

I remember seeing something like this when I was much younger and being freaked out by it as I nearly put my hand on it. I am older and wiser now and would love one to appear in my garden! Great photos, Holly.

I thought i was looking at a dead leaf against the branch, until i saw the
moth's leg...i agree with Bb the best camouflage i have ever seen....
