Trying to blog this season

Just joined up, I thought this year I would try and keep a structured journal of my gardening instead of jotting bits on a calendar & then losing track by Easter

I’ve just started sowing this month, so not a lot to catch up on so far.

Anyway, here I am and next post I’ll go into a bit more about what I’ve sown to date

Welcome to GoY Grandad gardener. Look forward to reading of your exploits.

You will find this site very useful. on 'your options' tab there is a drop down menu and one option is add plants. this allows you to record what plants you have growing and you can set reminders for when to prune/lift/split etc. I find it very useful.

Welcome to GOY. Like Seaburngirl said, it is a very useful site to keep records about your garden and as a plus very friendly and helpful. As a fairly novice gardening myself, it has helped so much in Advice. Look forward to seeing more about your garden. Jen 😀

Note to self: Be more organised!!😄
Your photo of your tom seed pots was a picture of hope we can all relate to, which types did you sow?
Whereabouts is your garden geographically?

Thanks Darren, I'm still getting to grips with how GOY works, I posted the varieties in my plants section, thinking it would be visible in main blog, oops

I'm south Hampshire, north of Portsmouth & handy for RHS Wisley up the A3

Right, found how to get to my plants, copied & pasted below

One I always grow is Balcony Yellow, using self saved seed, it never fails me

This year in addition to the above I'm trying

Mixed cherry, includes SuperSweet 100, Sungold & Apresa. I've used Sungold before, rest are new to me. Being mixed I'll not know what they are until they fruit. Seeds from Lidl

Mountain Magic. New one on me, trying because it is blight resistant, expensive trial, 5 seeds £3.99. I may put one outside. From T & M

Harzfeuer. Grew them last year, found it to be a good "doer", also supposed to be blight resistant. Using old seed left over in opened packet, use by 2018. From Lidl

Shirley. Growing as a reliable standby. I remember when this variety first arrived, way back in the 70s I think. It has stood the time test. Sown from opened 2016 packet. From Johnson's [at Wilko]

Hello Grandad Gardener and Welcome to Goy, I'm late arriving but that is often the case with me these days, I seem to spend a lot of time trying to catch up, never seem to manage, I hope you get as much enjoyment from Goy as I always have done, as said it is a grand group of very friendly and helpful people, you'll soon find your way around, it makes a grand diary also...Looking forward to following you in your garden.
