Leaves from someone elses trees

So as the tittle says , my lawn has suffered a leaf attack from some air bourne invaders .My own fault for not getting out the mower as Id normally do ,using it as a type of vac .But today was my first free day when weather ,work crimbo shopping and my lads football comitments have not got in the way .
So what have I found beneath ? 2 frogs and big bald patches of earth . NO SUPRISES THERE! . Buts what is maddening is I only layed the stuff this summer , and the tree that dumps its leaves grows at the end of my garden 2 doors up ,my lovely neighbour above wont let the trees owner in his jungle to cut down the Ash tree to a manageable hight
How gud I feel to have got that of my bonnet before I take it out on the dog or kids ANYONE GOT SOME SPARE GRASS SEED?

Goldcroft ~ I sympathise totally !
My neighbour has selfishly let her birch tree grow huge.
When the tree was smaller it was pretty, but now it dumps bits and pieces all over my garden in almost every season, and in certain months causes allergies with the pollen everywhere. There are millions of little seedy bits which get on your shoes and walked in doors and in the sheds.

Her tree dumps leaves all over the grass and amongst my rockery plants. Why don't they fall in her garden ? Not easy to remove the leaves off my borders without also pulling up my plants.

So I understand your moan.

PS. Have a nice Christmas with lads. :o)

Frogs - good. Bald patches - bad. I think springtime will see grass seed being sprinkled! Sorry to hear about the problems with the tree, You are welcome to have a good rant if you want to. We'll read and sympathise. :-) - or :-( if you prefer!

Hey TT, does that mean that legally those annoying little seedlings that ash and sycamore are prone to self seeding in every garden in the neighbourhood can be returned too? If only! Lol.

i also can relate to this problem, my neighbours apple tree, which is usally covered in catapillars, over hangs my garden, also he has decided to plant conifers and bamboo (not the well behaved clump variety) and perry winkle along his fence that joins mine, right where i have roses growing. so not only do i have the pleasure of clearing up leaves and manky apples from his tree, but also have flying caterpillars all over my plants, off shoots from his thugish plants all over my garden, but also all of the moisture and goodness i have worked so hard to provide for my lovely roses, now gets sucked out by his stupid conifer tree. think i might take the flying weedkiller aproach if he puts anymore nasties next to the fence lol

Legally, if a neighbours trees/shrubs/plants overhang your border then you are more than entitled to chop them back to the boundary. A person who needs to maintain a border/plant which has encroached on to a neighbours property has a legal right of access to their property to maintain it.
Poisoning other peoples plants from your property is illegal and if the plants are damaged and die on their side of the boundary because of your actions then it is criminal damage.
