You will be chuffed! The only wisteria I've seen in flower so far was at Glendoick House, on a sheltered south facing wall. I'm thinking of donating mine to the walled Garden!

The combination looks very pretty. Lovely arch and terracotta face too.

You must have cut it, I guess. Usually that is the reason why Visteria doesn´t bloom.

Dottydaisy2:

Is the Wisteria just starting to bloom now? or did it bloom 3 months ago?

Delonix it is blooming now.......Katarina Wisteria can be very difficult, we had one for 10 years and it never flowered whatever we did to it!!
Lindak thanks I am really pleased it has decided to flower this year...
Amy this is it's third year, as I say last year nothing, do put a pic on of yours...
Karen why do you want to give yours away?
Thanks Cinders....

That's amazing they bloom so late in the year there. Also, that they don't bloom reliably every year.

Wisteria blooms here starting in late Feb or early March. All the Wisterias around here are all full of large seed pods right now.

They are so picky arn't they, not at all reliable......Delonix our weather is so changeable, you never know how plants are going to behave.

Dottydaisy2:

That just amazes me that Wisteria is so picky and unreliable as far as flowering, there in the UK. I seriously would have never guessed. I always think of Wisteria as being such an extremely hardy vine.

Also, I though because of it's extreme hardiness that it would bloom at the same time as here, in late winter or very early spring.

What else?

See who else is growing Wisteria sinensis (Chinese wisteria).

See who else has plants in genus Wisteria.

This photo is of "Wisteria Sinensis Premature" in Dottydaisy2's garden
