Thanks all!

It is very early - I bought it last week in bud at a local nursery. It was in a sheltered spot outdoors all winter apparently. The nursery is sited in an old walled kitchen garden attached to an old manor.

Kasy - lily beetles love 'em!

Plantaholic - look forward to that. I have a small T.latifolia that is also yellow, but first year from seed so I need to be patient!

It's a lovely genus Leigh.
T.formosana is pretty widely available and the hardiest so is a good one to start with.
