Silphium perfoliatum - 2017 (Silphium perfoliatum)

Back-of-the-border perennial reaching eight feet. Needs a moist, fertile soil in sun or part shade. Get your supports in early to prevent it from toppling.
The picture has been photo-bombed by the neighbour's buddleia :-)
