A Schefflera pueckleri - Mallet Flowers at the Paradise Point Resort. These trees are even more popular than Queensland Umbrella tree...because it grow faster and denser and doesn't grow quite as tall. Photo taken Feb. 22, 2009.

I have a schefflera (umbrella plant) as a house plant, much smaller than this I think :)

This tree looks similar to the (Queensland) Umbrella Tree... the (Queensland) Umbrella will grow to 50 feet/16 meters tall and is widely grown as a landscape tree here.

Yes, this tree has a very unusual flower and seed pod.

And they take more cold then S.actinophylla. I had one for 32 years. Why it died I don't know..could have been its natural lifespan.
