They remind me of my childhood and running through the fields at the back of our house there used to be all sorts of wild flowers... unfotunately there are houses built there now....

this is lovely spritz, early flowers or is it a new arrival - you say you have lost some of yor scabious - is your white one i got you amonst them? if so i have some seeds :-) - let me know if you want some sent x

Angie - I hardly dare tell you! Yes, the white one was amongst the casualties along with Chile Black/Pepper/ and Sauce - oh, that makes four!

Don't worry about the seeds - thank you, but I found two little babies and they should grow up OK I hope.

I am going to wait until the others come into the GCs and buy them as mature plants - they have left nasty gaps in my planting! Not 'proper' gardening, I know, but needs must this year.

ofcourse you can't really mess about this year can you, what with the grand opening, i have some Back scabious that i have sown in the greenhouse, they are starting to come up, if i get a good sucess rate i could send you some if you like. i think my white one did make it though, which is a bit of a suprize they are not keen on Acid soil are they, but i think the bed where they are is more on the neutral side as i also have Clematis, and Dianthus pinks thriving there too, will have to do another test - i may well try Clematis freckles here, as i have'nt had much luck else where. and i will soon be adding more trellis infront of the greenhouse, clematis freckles would be perfect.

Ours flowered for so long last year but I can't see any sign of them now.

What a shame! I suppose that we may have to think of them as annuals as they don't seem to be as hardy as they are meant to be - although my pink one from last year is fine! :-(
