Saxifraga paniculata, and some others

nelke

By Nelke

Saxifraga paniculata, and some others (Saxifraga aizoides (Evergreen Saxifrage))

This shallow pot exist for about 10 - 11 years. I guess, it´s my favorite. I even don´t need them flowering. They are the same most of the time. But now they beginn to produce little stems: and I´m very happy.

Gorgeous I love it. I've often thought about trying something like this.

It is easy. The little Sedum´s: You put the little stem into the earth and it will grow and prosper. The Saxifraga´s: the same. The others: Make a very little hole between the surrounding ones and put it there. Maybe it´s practicable only with those montain-flowers, because they take what they´re getting.

The beginning was different, there were all kinds of little plants, and the pot was too wet, expecially in winter. So I had to widen the hole underneath. In this case I was putting some lime and lime-stone underneath (2 years ago).So it seems to be well-drained.

See who else is growing Saxifraga aizoides (Evergreen Saxifrage).

See who else has plants in genus Saxifraga.
