Sambucus Racemosa 'Plumosa Aurea' - Red Berried Elder.

Sambucus Racemosa 'Plumosa Aurea' - Red Berried Elder. (Sambucus Racemosa 'Plumosa Aurea')

I always think it does the job of an Acer, but will take more wind...plus, it will have red berries as it matures.

Dig out some more grass Annella lol :O) I am having the same problem here, had a good look around this weekend to see if there is somewhere else which needs a good grass chop out but sadly could not find any. lol :O)

Looks great Karen, so much colour in those borders, it all helps pass on the gloomy months. :O)

I must tell my niece about this one as she is looking for a small tree.

My best small tree Linda....Cornus Mas. Lovely goblet shape, bright red berries, acid yellow flowers in late winter/spring and warm coloured flaking bark to boot. The Sambucus is also good. Remember I did that blog some time ago about all my small trees....she might get some other ideas from that if you send her the link.
