mine hasn't flowered for a few weeks now, but I spotted new buds on it yesterday!

Yes - there are still more to come. The wind has destroyed the flowers in this photo though. :-(

:( story of my summer!

8 Oct, 2011

I can't believe how much wind we've had here. It destroyed the leaves on one of my Acers, so they all fell off in August, the Prunus 'Amanogawa' leaves are all scorched, roses last one day or two if I'm lucky, anything tall is flat. I'm fed up with it, K. :-(

I know B...it's just been a terrible year for all of us, one way or another hasn't it. My mum hasn't had rain all summer to speak of, we haven't had anything but rain and wind, there was that hurricane in May when all the trees were felled...then the recent windy weather....just horrible. Nice days up here have been like diamonds...so precious! Yesterday was such a day. Today is sooooo dark and gloomy! :(

And that's soooo depressing, isn't it. We had weeks of grey, grey, grey. Not too bad today - I saw the sun for - oooh - five minutes? lol, but OH did manage to get the grass cut. :-)

8 Oct, 2011

Yes, it's the same here again today....grey :( Perhaps a good gardening book would be an idea for today!
