Climbing Rose 'Warm Welcome' (Rosa Warm Welcome)

This is my first attempt at growing roses. So quite aptly named!!

I have this Scottish. I got it last winter. Sadly, it's not flowering yet, but I see a couple of buds, so I'll just have to be patient!

I have never 'done' roses before Karensusan....I bought this and a rambler in March. This has lots of buds so I am up checking it everyday.
The rambler hasn't produced any flowers but advice I got from Bamboo was that it probably wouldn't flower this year as it flowers on old wood, so fingers x for that one next year.

Oh yes, I do hope so. I started growing roses when 'Rhapsody in Blue' came on the market. I fell in love with it and of course it was David Austin, and they sent me a copy of their catalogue with my order, and the rest is history...I now have over 50 different shrub roses of varying heights!

Both my roses are David Austin, I stop myself from going to the Rose stands in the GCs as I know what I am like but I want to make sure I can make a success out of these before I committ to any more.

I've never had a standard either scottish. I am so tempted by them, and if I had a sunnier patio I might have a couple, but I do find them a little daunting for some reason! Always think I won't be able to maintain a good shape etc....
