Ricinus communis flower (Ricinus communis)

These wild plants can grow 10-12 feet here and I see that size frequently in the ditches This is a small one on the lake shore. Many there.

It's a common weed tree. It can grow much larger and wider. It pops up in asphalt along the freeways and so many other areas here in California.

Yes, weed seen everywhere...in every little crevasse .
The cultivated ones are pretty though.

Yes, when trimmed and watered it can become large and very nice.

They grow to that size in England too, but of course they're bought & planted in our gdns. I Used to have to prune one sometimes in a friends gdn, to contain the size. It kept it nice & bushy, with nice new growth.

I have never seen it cultivated Feverfew. Only in the wild.
