Ricinus communis - Castor Bean Tree

Ricinus communis - Castor Bean Tree (Ricinus communis - Castor Bean Tree)

This short-lived tree, about 5 - 7 years...is one of California's worst weed trees. It will germinate in very dry soil and soon there's a little forest of 15 - 20 foot / 4 - 6 meter trees. Photo taken August 15, 2009.
