Oh wow you lucky lady.....I have lost most of mine this winter, just one left.....its just starting to wake up...But I don't think it will ever flower for me as we just don't have the right weather conditions.......

It looks great! Some trees in San Diego are already flowering. It's really early for them to start flowering...it's because of the exceptionally warm to hot winter.

My plumerias have had buds coming out over the last month. Even my Hilo Beauty is putting out buds, and it doesn't usually put out buds until late May.

When we left it was almost in full bloom and the smell was very subtle.

I am sorry Milky that you lost yours. I remember your pictures of it. I hope you will see blooms on the surviving one.

How many do you have Delonix1?

I have several varieties.

I have 5 trees in the ground (my tallest one is 12' or about 4m tall with the same spread). I have a dozen or so in pots. I used to have more in pots; however, I sold some and in winter of 2013/14 I lost some during the hot winter temps because I didn't water them. Luckily, this winter I gave my plumerias water, which I typically don't have to do...but because of the hot winter temps and extremely dry conditions they needed the water.

They are lovely trees (not too big) and worth the effort to grow them.

Yes, they are very popular. The Southern California Plumeria Society (which meets in Balboa Park) has grown huge since they started it.

The trees are very common...and becoming more popular than ever because of their extreme drought tolerance in the ground. There's many trees in my neighborhood.
