Pitta:

Your Philodendron looks so healthy and shiny! I have recently purchased Philodendron 'Red Emerald' which I will have growing up my 50 foot/ 15 meters tall Jacaranda tree soon. I hope mine looks like yours soon! : > )

I'm betting it will be the same.

Pitta:

It probably is the same. : > )

I purchased my Philodendron at Quail Botanical Gardens a couple of months ago for a few dollars. Quail Botanical Gardens has many Philodendrons growing up into the trees...I bet it was just a cutting. : > )

Lori:

Yes, we're very lucky to live in great climates! Pitta's climate is the most ideal though...she lives in the deep tropics...no cool weather there. : > )

Lori:

Here in San Diego we had beautiful warm to hot weather from Dec. 29, 2009 - Jan. 17, 2010 with no rain...then the crazy intense El Niño storms came in for 5 straight days...which hasn't happened since the El Niño 1983. It caused a lot of flooding (we needed the rain) and very powerful winds which caused a lot of severe damage throughout the state. Talk about crazy weather! : > )
