This is my Medinilla that was starting to bloom in January of 2007. Unfortunately, it didn't bloom this year.

Good luck with you Medinilla magnifica! I like this species best...it has the most beautiful flowers/bracts of the genus. Unfortunately, it will not grow outside here in San Diego...it is so,so extremely cold sensitive, temps below 65 degrees F. / 18 degrees C. may cause harm to this very tropical plant.

Lovely bloom on this - I have the 'magnifica' and am waiting for it to bloom. Maybe this will be the year!
