Westcountry Lupins - Red Rum (Lupinus)

These have grown absolutely huge this year! Totally dwarfing out Cotinus Grace - don't want to move either of them yet!

Lovely, everyone's Lupins seem to look really good this year, I have had them in my garden a few times before, they do not seem to like it :((( so I have none now :(((

Really stunning

They look so good together it would be a shameto move them apart. The cotinus will grow and outstrip the soon and you will be left with a lovely combi.

Thanks everyone - I'll leave them this year - hopefully the Cotinus will get bigger and these will end up underneath so too speak :)

It will shelter them from the wind too. Last nights wind and rain has flattened mine.

These are holding up Sheila but I don't hold out much hope for the poppies. I've tried adding some extra support but it's difficult to get right in about them without doing more damage!!

Thats very true. I always forget to put in supports before they grow. Its too late once they are up. In spite of the rain i got my present of Pink Marble planted tonight. It had rained all day and I thought it had eased so i went out and got on with it. I also planted the physocarpis 'Nugget'. You did not say the flowers are pink. I took photos of my planting this week so will do a blog when I get a minute.

I hadn't noticed the flowers were pink Sheila. I'm sure mine are an off white. I've posted a picture so will go have a wee look and report back :)
