Fragaria x ananassa 'Variegata' (Fragaria x ananassa 'Variegata')

This is the common strawberry but with variegated leaves. I am trying to get it to form a ribbon along the fornt of a border but it is being reluctant to bulk up, probably because it is a bit shady
