Thanks Amy, I do have a small Euonymus Alatus in the garden at the moment. I only added it this year. It had turned a beautiful fiery red. I do hope it survives.....watch my space! :)

Thanks Sandra / Carole , I hope so to Karen I love the red / orange autumn colours the only draw-back is that you know it won't last long and that we are heading straight into winter :o(

We have two spindleberry trees & they have been beautiful this year! I wonder why? They haven't done all that well before.
I used to have 3 but one has never done any good & last year it was just horrid, with yuk leaves & smothered in blackfly.
We cut it right back to the trunk this year & we shall cut the trunk right down soon and TRY to kill the roots.
It is in the gravel in our front garden & we could have a forest there if we let all the runners grow!!! They shoot up ALL OVER THE PLACE!! I'm always pulling them up.
I shall have to try & get a good pic of the other 2 with all the berries.
I love them, they are so pretty.
That's a lovely photo you caught Amy.

Fabulous Amy.....what a colour! I'm just browsing through the euonymuses, I need a couple of new shrubs, after digging over a couple of bare patches...:((

We get loads of runners from ours. Not such a good thing with these trees, but the berries are beautiful.
I have also had a couple of seedlings growing that have self-seeded.

Thanks Janey let me know if you would like me to dig a piece up for you they do grow very big !! , They do tend to take up a lot of room Shirl. mine have sent runners out all around it they are known to attract black-fly and aphids but then I think while they are on that they are leaving other plants alone !
