Euonymus with upright habit

Euonymus with upright habit (Euonymus fortunei (Euonymus))

This evergreen has very bright yellow variegation, and really stands out at this time of year. It contrasts nicely with the salvia in front of it.

I think both plants are stunning. I wonder which one will win the "all year round beauty contest"?

The Eunymus will last out the winter better. Last year our winter was severe and the Salvia was totally beaten up and had to be cut back quite severely.
