I tried making tea with this for the first time. I really enjoyed it. It's tasty & very calming.

I must try it too one day. Did you dry the flowers first or just fresh?

No, I just took a bunch of new leaves, mashed them up in the cup, add a teaspoon of sugar, fill with boiling water, let it sit for 5 minutes, then drink. You can use any part of the plant. The roots are suppose to be the most potent.

Thank you, Klahanie. It seems like Magnus, they are darker at the beginning then turn pale pink.
Yes it is typical medicinal plant of Indians from the northwest of the USA (its root was used as antidotum after snake bite, that is why it was called "snake root").
It is claimed to boost immunity, however, it can cause trouble if the person has cancer and is blood group zero with autoimmunity disease. It is higly not recommended in these cases.
Otherwise, I will check the tea, Bathgate.

I hope your immune system is working ok and you can enjoy the tea.

Unfortunately, I am not suitable blood group. I prefer manuka honey and thymus or sage when I have got cold. The same I recommended to my patients. But, of course, this doesn t mean for other people Echinacea doesn t work. As I already said above.
