Och, look! I knew it would look great with the big hinges! That's lovely, Poppy, I'm sure you're really pleased with it!

What a good idea to make what would have been a boring bit of fence into a feature - well done.

thanks Mariek and Lil. What I liked was this is so instant. I dont feel too impatient about the roses growing. ...... Well only a bit! glad you noticed the avatar Lil - its a bit dark but I need that to cover up wrinkles!

HAHA!!!! I've changed now mine I don't know how many times. No matter the lighting, all defects remain :)

How lovely! I found recently a painter, very talented young woman who returned to Slovakia from Spain and she is taking home all kind of old furnitures and doors and paint them. Amazing things for home !

I like that Poppy but then I like any pics of old doors , there's something fascinating about what might lay behind them .!

Hi Katarina & Amy
I agree old things look much nicer in the garden, a bit of rust or a bit of moss, blends in rather than sticks out. I'm having a bit of a rampage on plastic, I would love to get rid of all of it, have to be practical though. Glad you like it Amy, its a good start but have many more plans for this area.

Yes Pixi, Ive seen your door, it helped inspire me to do this one. The ultimate aim is to get the roses to grow in a frame right around it. Your door looks great too Pix! I also like your helper - Clay!
