Wood strawberries / mock strawberries - For my records

Wood strawberries / mock strawberries - For my records (Duchesnea indica (Indian Mock Strawberry))

25 August 2012.
Wood or mock strawberries have yellow flowers rather than the white flowers of wild strawberries, and disappointingly don't taste anywhere near as good!

Ah that's a shame because they look delicious! It took a while for me to get used to my little alpine strawbs being white inside but once I tasted them it wasn't so hard to get used to the different colour :-)

What else?

See who else is growing Duchesnea indica (Indian Mock Strawberry).

See who else has plants in genus Duchesnea.
