There were two of them buzzing from flower to flower! So lovely to see them. :-)))

20 Feb, 2010

yes makes things seem more spring like and summer on its way barbara, :o))

20 Feb, 2010

Yes - the sun and no wind made it feel warm-ish!

20 Feb, 2010

i think that, everyone was moaning when i went to work, about how cold it was, but it was lovely and sunny and no wind, better than sleet, rain and snow, some are never happy lol

20 Feb, 2010

The thermometer said 6 degrees, but it felt warmer than that - mind you, I was working - digging etc.

20 Feb, 2010

thats it barbara when working seems alot warmer than it is, me and my son were out on wed digging and felt lovely and warm in the sun, its cold when you stop though, im hoping to do some sorting out tomoz, new shoots coming and need to pull dead foilage away, its looking tatty now

20 Feb, 2010

What a lovely photo, it`s good to see a bee out and about. I do hope he has somewhere warm to hide away in though.

20 Feb, 2010

I saw my first bee today too .... that was on a Crocus aswell !

20 Feb, 2010

These ones are doubly precious - the 'animal' that's eating my crocuses in the side garden hasn't ventured in the back...yet...

20 Feb, 2010

im going to look out for them to, seems early doesnt it

20 Feb, 2010

Let's hope it doesn't, either.

20 Feb, 2010

Bees? I suppose so - not too sure, really, Sandra!

20 Feb, 2010

I seem to have bees here all year, only a few in winter but they're there !

Then in summer .... loads of 'em, don't know where they all come from but they go into my small, dry stone wall in the back garden and buzz about in the front and back gardens then !!!

20 Feb, 2010

Louise, if 'it' eats these as well, I shall GIVE UP and run a wild-life park. Gate open. let 'em all in - deer, badgers, the sheep from across the lane, cows, squirrels, cats, all the neighbourhood dogs, horses, anything! GRRRRRRR.....

20 Feb, 2010

.... don't forget the pigs.

20 Feb, 2010

lol sorry barbara, could just picture you standing there waving them all in , its awfull when you are having your garden eaten
ounk ounk louise haha

20 Feb, 2010

wow brilliant to see

20 Feb, 2010

Oh yes, and the goats that are up the lane a bit, and not forgetting the foxhounds, their kennels are about a mile away. Pigs?? Hmmm.. not sure who keeps them near here. Chickens and ducks - they're in the farm next door, must remember to invite them too,

Told you - I GIVE UP!!

20 Feb, 2010

Sorry, Eileen - having a silly 5 minutes. It's so upsetting, going outside and finding all the damage! Glad you like them. :-)

20 Feb, 2010

it is upsetting barbara, you work hard to make your garden lovely, x

20 Feb, 2010

another pretty one.

20 Feb, 2010

I thought they were quite close Spritz ?

20 Feb, 2010

sounds liek you have a right to have a silly 5 minutes

20 Feb, 2010

Not only do you have beautiful crocuses in flower but bees too - still snow on the ground here :-(

20 Feb, 2010

Does this mean you have many other "visitors" as well as the badgers Spritz? they have gone now have'nt they?

20 Feb, 2010

The badgers are being kept out by the electric fence, Alice, but I'm still finding chewed up tulip bulbs and crocuses. I thought it might be a squirrel, but I found a hole in the top border this afternoon, so I'm wondering if it's a rabbit, now. :-(((

Yes, Dawn, it was a nice day today! We were lucky. :-)

20 Feb, 2010

Wow....sunshine flowers and bees........you must live in a different country to me Barbara..Lol Heavy snow here today!...:o(

21 Feb, 2010

snow here today janey, not heavy but still quite alot on ground :o(

21 Feb, 2010

I think this coastal strip of Somerset is protected by Exmoor and the Quantock Hills - there's snow up there, I can see it from the lane - but it falls on there and not on us!

I do feel sorry for those of you with snow - you all know I hate it and you must be thoroughly sick of seeing it by now. :-(((

21 Feb, 2010

i am barbara and i actually liked it when we first had it if you remember, i was going to do some gardening today, oh well!

21 Feb, 2010

Build a snowman instead?? No - maybe not. :-((

21 Feb, 2010

lol "kill the snowman" ahaahahha, going mad here

21 Feb, 2010

What a good idea! Build one - then SMASH it! :-Z (evil grin!)

21 Feb, 2010

21 Feb, 2010

Don't forget the camera - before and after shots, Sandra!

21 Feb, 2010

okidoki, i dont think im going to step foot outside though today barbara , tv, laptop and plenty of coffee here

21 Feb, 2010

Sounds good, if the snowman is a no-no. ;-0

21 Feb, 2010

21 Feb, 2010

How lovely to see it, its nealy all gone now Sandra and the sun is shinning :o))

21 Feb, 2010

We've got sun, as well! Not very warm out there, but still sunny. :-))

21 Feb, 2010

Sun here too now....:o) And my first seedlings through...Swan River Daisy and Cosmos Picotee....yippee!!!

21 Feb, 2010

Well done, Janey - that's good! I might sow some Cosmos later....they germinate fast, don't they?

21 Feb, 2010

It was nasty today - damp and a cold north wind blowing. I did a little this afternoon, but not a lot.

22 Feb, 2010

Smashing to see the bees returning Spritz. Haven't seen one yet.

23 Feb, 2010

They've gone off again since Sunday - in hiding, no doubt! Can't really blame them....

23 Feb, 2010

Nobody can.

23 Feb, 2010

:-(

24 Feb, 2010

That picture really gives us a Buzz.

27 Feb, 2010

LOL.

27 Feb, 2010

wow! I had to scroll a long way to get my word in here! I think this bee looks as though he is having a snooze in the flower! First bee I 've 'seen' this year! Fantastic that you caught him! Thanks for sharing

27 Feb, 2010

A popular picture, Karen - due to the bee!! He really was buzzing from flower to flower with his brother.... I saw another one (or the same one!) today, too. :-))

27 Feb, 2010

Yes, being in that beautiful county you would have early bees! I had a look at your garden pictures and see that you can also grow the winter flowering clems! If I ever have to leave Scotland (which I don't think I will!) then it has to be for the west country - I love it there, it's so mild and 'pastoral england'! Lucky you!

28 Feb, 2010

Come and join us - we love it down here! :-)))
