My original shrub got all woody and had sparse leaves, so I dug it out and this is a replacement. I couldn't be without a Coronilla!

Neither would I Spritz.

I've heard that it can be temperamental in some areas - isn't it hardy?

I do not know enough about it, a gift from one of our daughters.....

I believe some people find it too tender for their gardens. I think it needs a warm or sheltered spot.

My first one died 2009 it was in a rather exposed part of the garden so I bought another in 2010 and planted it in a large pot in a more sheltered spot and it has performed remarkable well since then.

I lost the one I purchsed in 2009 I had planted it in a very open part of the garden, so in 2010 I got another one which I have in a big blue pot which sits between a trellis and my rose gate in a sheltered part of the garden and it has performed very well here (shown on my photo No 253) so yes Spritz I do think its on the rather tender side.

Yes I think it definitely does Spritz. I lost my 1st one in 2009 I had planted it in a rather exposed part of the garden. The following year 2010 I bought another one which I planted in a big blue pot which sits to the left of the patio (photo 253 of my garden pics) its more sheltered here and is still going strong.

sorry folks having trouble with the computor.

Not to worry - I'm just pleased to hear that your Coronilla is doing well. Interesting that it's thriving in a pot. My first one would have been too big for a pot.

I cant get it to stay over winter and I haven't found a suitable space for a replacement.
