Cimicifuga

simbad

By Simbad

Cimicifuga (Cimicifuga racemosa (Black Cohosh))

At least some things are just starting to flower, amazing scent on this.
Excuse the piles of pond weed, never ending job at the moment it grows so quickly.

Thanks everyone, I love this plant, has taken a couple of years to settle and really get going, the soil was a bit dry for it with the nearby trees, so dug all the plants out of this bed sunk some pond liner in refilled with better soil and this year they've all gone mad, loads of buds to come on this too :-)
Oooo the scents wonderful DD, reminds me of something, just can't remember what ? you can smell it all round the pond.

Simbad
to save any confusion for those looking to buy it ,they normally sell under the name Actaea Simplex often with a cultivar name following .Your naming is still correct but not so often used by nurseries, and yes the scent is stunning.

I purchased mine as Actaea Simplex Bjs but recognised it instantly as Simbad's Cimicifuga.
