Golden Showers

Golden Showers (Cassia fistula (Golden shower tree))

This is a magnificent tree when in full bloom with its showers of bright yellow flowers. Ours is in a garden that forms the background to the courtyard garden and is now about 8 metres tall.

Hmmm Everywhere but here, you mean! I don't suppose for a minute that they'd grow in the UK... would they?

Spritzhenry:

Cassia fistula grows only in Subtropical and Tropical climates...it does best where the Winter is dry and Summer is wet. They are grown here in Southern California...however, Cassia leptophylla is the most commonly grown Cassia here in San Diego.

I love Golden Shower!!! I saw them in Thailand for the first time about 15 years ago and tried to grow from the seeds but couldn't.

Japanesepeach - they are a stunning tree when in full bloom. It's a shame the seeds didn't take off. At the moment this tree is full of seed pods - not its best look.

What else?

See who else is growing Cassia fistula (Golden shower tree).

See who else has plants in genus Cassia.
