Wow! Those trees are still there. I remember when they were planted 30 plus years ago.

They might be getting by on rainfall alone. All under them it's paving and even around the trunks there is some metal work..to keep trash out I suppose. I didn't spot any irrigation devices or hoses.

It appears so. I think this tree likes more rain in summer than we'll ever get (since it doesn't rain in summer lol!)
