I have been give three big brougonvillia ..no idea what colours...I can't house three inside for winter so I'm going to plant two in the sunniest warmest spot I have and see how they do. Im hoping they will at least grow and flower this year. I'll find an inside spot for one...lots to learn.

Sandra:

Bougainvillea loves heat and dry conditions. Plant in the hottest and driest part of your yard. It should flower when it gets warm to hot. They commonly are planted on the west or south side of a building or house. It's because they love extreme heat! Good luck! :>))

It can never be too sunny or hot for them. I've seen this climb a 3 story side of a house. You dont miss that red.

It's spectacular. Bougainvillea is one of the most popular and common vines grown here. It's available in so many colors.

I cheated and bought a two color Boug at walmart. Peach and light purple colors.
I planted out the "Phillipine Firecracker Clerodendron Andy- 3 years later now. Oh well. Its in shade behind my Aloe barbarae. Only spot I have for it..if it doesnt bloom at least is has those nice Coleus like leaves with the purple undersides.

My Clerodendrum quadriloculare - Phillipine Firecracker I'm about ready to taken out! It hasn't flowered in more than 5 years it's been in the ground. It suffers severely from drought and has never flowered. I'm going to dig it out and give it more sun. If it doesn't grow well or flower I'm chopping it down for good! LOL!
