Your ferns are really beautiful, K...

...and they're giving me an idea...perhaps I could use ferns to achieve the 'sub-tropical' look I was going for in the beds where I lost all my more tender plants this winter...hmm?

You might just find in a very cold winter the leaves will die, but will return, usually, we have lots of ferns, only lost one so far....fingers crossed.

Great idea Karen...as long as it is moist and at least part shade. They do look great in a 'fernery'...and they are inexpensive to buy!

Hmmm...may have to make a trip to Perigueux...all things considered...

Soup all week should cover it...now...is my car big enough?? ;)

Lol! First...I need...a roof!!!

It's amazing how many plants I can fit in to my little peugeot 107...boxes on the back seat, big plants in the little boot and little ones on the front passenger floor....I reckon I could, at a push, get about three trolleys worth in there!

Mine does okay if I put the lid down and leave the boot open - but the poor things don't always like the wind! lol!

blimey...what kind of a car are you driving there Karen...one with a lid? ;))

Lol! Fiat Barchetta - One of the most impractical cars that you can have when you live in the countryside and your hobby is the garden...but I did manage to get six bags of bark chippings in it once!
