Although Asarums are called hardy gingers,they are not in the ginger family (Zingiberaceae).Wether they have similar qualities,perhaps someone with better knowledge than me would know.This one would really prefer more humid,warmer summers than we have to thrive,but this is its 2nd year with me and ok so far.
