Antennaria dioica 'Alex Duguid' (Antennaria dioica (Mountain everlasting))

These flowers are tiny bunchy clusters - about 3mm across !
This grows in the rockery.

Louise 1. Alex Duguid was a very fine breeder of plants this is one.
Have fond memories of him as he got me hooked on growing Primulas many a letter passed between us in the late sixties- seventies no Internet then,He owned Edrom Nurseries at that time alas he is no longer is with us.

Brian, i bought this 'at' the Edrom stall when i went to the Malvern show, interesting background on him and nice memories for you too.

Edrom nursery is a favourite of mine, their plants and service are excellent.

Yes i agree it is nice that the nursery has thrived under different owners there was another man owned it between Alex and the present owners I think his name was Lawson I met him once there, he started the development of the woodland garden .and before Alex there were to old ladies owned it ,so it has quite a long history.
