Gosh is that outside , mine is against a wall and has been covered with fleece this last month , it still has flowers on it but i'm so worried about losing it in bad weather , this is a new one , I lost my old one last year in the frosts ...

Thanks guys!
It comes in at night now Amy! Far too tender for the kind of temps that we had last winter I think.

Its lovely Meanie, I have the abutilon megapotamicum, and didnt think that would survive last winter, but it still going strong......

Thank you Yorkshire and Milky!
It's alright for you in sunny Essex Milky - rather colder out here in the boonies though. I will chance it next winter, but as it's still a young plant.....

Very lovely. Is it in partial bloom Meanie?

This is the fully opened bloom Camillia. The colours are a little pale owing to the short daylight hours.

I had a 'Kentish Belle' in my first garden. It was out all year and flowered until December. I loved that plant. I might just get one for here and see if it will survive! I remember one day a friend came to my garden for the first time and she was bowled over just by that plant. She said it was a complete garden in one plant....the green, red and yellow. If I wasn't such a 'pastels' person I'd say she was right. I love the colour of your golden one Meanie. You keep that safe and warm...don't want to lose that!

No indeed I would love one that colour too.....lol

Meanie....did you grow this one from seed?

24 Nov, 2010

It's a fave so it will get the care!
It's one of the more understated blooms, even in the summer. With leaves like this, the blooms don't need to be over the top!
I googled Kentish Belle and came up with this.....

How about this one then.....
