Thank you Hywel and Irish i was so chuffed my little wheelbarrow full of veggie things came good
Radish was the first to be ready beetroot lettuce and tomato next - i hope yum!
Been gardening for umpety years never tried to grow veg before!

They will also grow well in plastic troughs/window boxes, if short on space.

I wonder ??

Gr8 thing to do with radishes.

With a sharp knife, score 4 petal shapes from tip of radish to halfway down. Then pare back, gently. Put in a bowl of cold water, with added ice cubes, in fridge overnight. Next day, the "petals" will have unfolded, to give a "fucshia" type flower. Mount on cocktail sticks or just place amidst a salad platter. Mine always go down a treat at birthday buffets, etc. Were especially stunning at a recent family ruby wedding.

Think I'll give the choc sauce a miss, though. :-))

Yes I think they look really pretty I did them for a fundraising "do" my friend said life is too short to carve radishes I said it's too short not too look they are lovely! she agreed eventually and we had compliments on the spread! as I am sure you did too
