We've now put a simple wooden bench underneath this glade of tree ferns. It has changed considerably - this is where the jungle photos were taken.

I have some of these. They are definately my pride and joy. Keep them moist throughout the summer. I wet the fibrous trunk and splash a hose over the fronds. Mine love it.

The very tall bamboos protect the ferns from the sun. We do keep a couple of watering cans hidden near the base of the ferns so that we can douse them when necessary. They do look prehistoric when the fronds are emerging!
