The blue spruce that had such a slow start has become a shelter for sparrows and chickadees ...8 inches of soft fluffy stuff fell last night!

Is this what they're telling us is "global warming"? I know parts of Yorkshire get snow of a winter..but it doesn't last for months and months, aye? we get snow in October ...but it doesn't start to accumulate until December ...then we get snow storms right up to April! Drat! why did I have to think of that?
