I'm suprised it came through the winter;always thought they were tender. Well drained soil?

I dumped a small plant in to the corner of the belfast sink by the back door. it had over 2ft of snow dumped on it during the winter.

Its very pretty SBG. Isn`t it funny that the plants you would expect to survive don`t and vice versa?
